Database Management for Supporting Adaptation Decision Making for Climate-Resilient Investments

The TA aims to improve the understanding by DMCs on how to make effective use of climate information and services to facilitate planning and decision-making under climate uncertainty. Through this TA, the DMCs will have enhanced technical capacity to generate, interpret and apply climate information in decision-making in sectors including agriculture, water, and energy. It will also incorporate disaster risk management and reduction as a key component of building the overall resilience of our DMCs. The Data Management Specialist will be responsible for the compilation, management, and development of the datasets generated for the adaptation guidance document into a user-friendly and searchable format.

Specific tasks include:

• Lead discussions with the TA-9414 team on the further design and development of the adaptation guidance database.
• Working with the TA-9414 sector specialists, compile existing datasets ensuring completeness and consistency.
• Develop interactive and searchable adaptation guidance database for the Agriculture, Energy, Transport, Water, and Urban sectors based on data provided by sector experts.
• Prepare presentations related to the database for workshops and meetings, as needed.
