On the morning of October 18th, we – Spatial Decisions, in collaboration with the Information Technology Training and Consulting Center under the Hanoi Department of Information and Communication, organized a seminar titled “Information Security for Businesses in the Digital Transformation Era.” The objective of the seminar was to raise awareness among businesses about the importance of information security and to make them aware of the opportunities and challenges in ensuring information security during the digital transformation.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Director of the Hanoi Department of Information and Communication, delivered the opening speech at the seminar and emphasized that digital transformation is an inevitable global trend that is rapidly taking place worldwide. To effectively implement digital transformation, it must be carried out comprehensively, with special priority given to ensuring cybersecurity. He hopes that the seminar will provide businesses with a comprehensive understanding of information security and help them choose suitable solutions to safeguard their information during the digital transformation process.
During the seminar, Dr. Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the Institute of Information Technology at the National University of Hanoi, shared insights into the implementation of information security within businesses and the crucial role of information security in the development of enterprises during the digital transformation.
Furthermore, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Senior High-Level Security Consultant at Verichains, a subsidiary of VNG Corporation, analyzed various forms of mobile application cyberattacks and presented comprehensive protection solutions for mobile applications for businesses.
From Spatial Decisions, Mr. Bui Huy Hoang, Head of Information Technology, presented on behalf of expert Ramkumar Kashyap, discussing the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in ensuring information security. He highlighted that AI can help businesses quickly detect and respond to cybersecurity threats while also having the capability to analyze large-scale data that humans cannot achieve. He also recommended that businesses conduct a comprehensive assessment of their current information security infrastructure to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas where AI can provide value.
Lakshmi Narasimhan R, Chief Information Security Officer at Intellect Design in India, discussed the integration of information security during the digital transformation of the financial, banking, and insurance sectors.
The seminar achieved positive outcomes and provided an opportunity for businesses, government agencies, and IT experts to exchange knowledge and solutions to promote a safe and efficient digital transformation.
The seminar attracted the participation of leaders from various departments and agencies in Hanoi, as well as institutions and organizations specializing in information security.
