Peri-Urban and Rural planning has different challenges and opportunities which properly addressed can complement the urban development, creating symbiotic economic opportunities at a regional scale. Working with a city-region approach we focusing on an ecosystems approach to resource management and resilience for the non-urban core communities, bringing to practice a ‘greener’ and socio-ecological responsive approach to development.
