How Government Assistance Reduces Food Insecurity

Findings from a 2023 household survey conducted in Southeast Asia and Caucasus and Central Asia show that both regions had significant levels of food insecurity, with Southeast Asia showing more severe conditions. Among the various coping strategies adopted by households, only applying for government assistance had a significant effect on reducing food insecurity.
