The 9th Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Forum will take place from Monday, 29 September, to Friday, 3 October 2025, at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand. The Forum will build on the key messages and recommendations made during 8th APAN Adaptation Forum and advance discussions on transformational adaptation.

The APAN Forum

The APAN Forum is the primary region-wide platform for adaptation practitioners to meet, share their learning and experiences, and work together towards pertinent outcomes and practical solutions needed to address the challenges of climate change. Having delivered seven successful forums so far, the APAN Forum continues to address adaptation knowledge needs in Asia and the Pacific region while providing relevant evidence for policy-makers to inform adaptation action.

Representatives from governments, financing institutions, academia and research, international organisations, UN agencies, civil society organisations, youth organisations and the private sector, among others, will participate in the 9th APAN Forum to work together to build and strengthen partnerships across sectors for adaptation action. The Forum will also provide a space to reflect on the outcomes of COP and highlight regional lessons learnt, needs and challenges to serve as inputs into COP 30 discussions.
