PPS For The Development & Climate Resilience in Bac Can & Ha Giang

About: The objective of this Project Preparation Study is to reinforce the two cities’ resilience to climate change by bringing in customized solutions and key information to prepare a cost-effective and efficient prioritized investment program for their environmental infrastructures, accompanying the two cities in the path of sustainable and resilient development.

As part of a consortium, specific tasks performed include:

• Work closely with the Team Leader and other experts to conduct reviews and assessments related to urban landscape design.

• Participate in data collection and review and review of the city development master plans and initial review of potential city projects and review the existing projects regarding urban public spaces.

• Review embankment protection design techniques and work with the Team Leader to propose an alternative approach for urban landscape design based on water-sensitive urban design principles.

• Identify options to improve open spaces and river connectivity in 2 cities in which relevant sketches will be provided that fully illustrate the concept of proposed options for further development of outline design at the later phase.

• Contribute to the preparation of materials for all workshops and participate in workshops and meetings.
