There has been a debate on the proposal to replace the BRT line for Hanoi, and Mr. Kapil Chaudhery, the Director of Spatial Decisions, had an opportunity to share his thoughts on the on-going debate with V News.
His observation on the existing BRT line that it is not as efficient as it aimed to be due to its isolation from other traffic lines and hence did not serve to its capacity to reduce traffic issues. Rather, stressing the importance that in order to utilize the BRT line, it should be linked with the metro system to create a harmony and integrated transport system instead of replacing the whole BRT line which is wasteful of the investment that has gone into it’s construction.
